Tennis NB held it’s 3rd modified event of the summer season this past weekend in Riverview. This was the first tournament which offered play in doubles divisions. New Brunswick is still the only province in the country that is holding tournaments. Here are the results from Riverview:

40+ Ladies Doubles: Dianne Lavoie (Dieppe) & Nisk Imbeault (Moncton) def. Raymonde Breau (Moncton) & Karen Comeau (Dieppe) 6/4, 6/2

40+ Ladies Doubles Consolation: Rose Arsenault (Fredericton) & Monique LeClair (Fredericton) def. Colette Beaulieu (Fredericton) & Elena Bosi (Fredericton) 7/6, 6/1

50+ Men’s Doubles: Gerald Goodine (Fredericton) & Gary Jessome (Quispamsis) def. Reg Caulfield (Dieppe) & Alain Menard (Dieppe) 6/2, 6/2

The 4th and final modified event will feature mixed doubles divisions and will take place next Saturday in Rothesay.
